Status graduate used to be a big handicap. Job market is always evolving though and this exact group of potential employees (mostly the college graduates, but high school graduates also) is lately in demand across the professional fields.
Graduates are considered flexible, adaptable, quick learners with no time constraints and, of course, cheaper.
Well functional company is aware of the team diversity when the graduate can be trained by more experienced and older coleague.
We often see companies requiring specially graduates in our agency. The most interesting job offers are directed to technical end foreign languages literate graduates. Vysočina is region with very variable job market, we do not depend just on the car industry, so skillful graduates from different fields can find employment. The most interesting for companies are IT graduates, technical engineers, electrical mechanics.
The graduates sometimes create their bad reputation on the job market with their first failed interviews or carless attitude.
What to avoid as a graduate
If you are only interested in money, benefits and vacation days at the first interview when you haven’t presented anything you can offer, it doesn’t make a good impression. Lots of employers are also complaining about the work ethics with graduates. Careless attitude towards to work, late arrivals, inadequate work performance, high job drifting in first years after graduation.
Be interested mainly in the offered position and what its responsibilities are, what tasks you are going to fulfill, what you can offer to the company, what could be useful for them – maybe your (technical) education, foreign languages knowledge, experience during the school.
Graduates are our clients and we helped to tens of them finding the job where they could start their professional career and found a job they like. And that’s what is important. Do the job we like. And what is that for you? Let us know and we can talk it through…
